The Steps

The first thing about roleplaying is - Have fun.
Make friends and don't take it too seriously. This site was made so that everyone can have *fun*
Go out and meet the people on the forums, we're all great people. Especially the moderators and I : P
If you have any problems just directly pm me or one of the moderators and I'll fix it, they'll fix it, or they'll have me fix it xD

The Second Step - Choose what sort of roleplay you want to roleplay on
Go onto the main page of the forum and look at all the different types of roleplay we have.
We have the Main Free Roleplay where you can do almost whatever you want in the land and world that I've created for the purpose.
But if you want another roleplay in another land, you can create your own roleplay in The Standard Roleplay under the section you want. Or you can find one that's already been created.

The Third Step - Make your character.
Once you've decided that you want to roleplay and what roleplay you want to roleplay on you need to create a suited character. I have posted a bio format in Maps, Clans, and Information. You may fill out this bio format or create your own.
Then, if you're roleplaying on The Open Roleplay post the filled out bio or bios on the Character Biographies page in the Maps, Clans, and Information. If you're playing on The Standard Roleplay, post it on their roleplay NOT on the Character Biographies page.

The Fourth Step - Get your character approved

This is the hardest step for a lot of people. This step requires you to just WAIT until the creator of the thread (or another person the thread creator specifies) accepts your bio unless otherwise specified.

The Fifth Step - The Roleplay

Once all the other steps are completed you are set to roleplay unless another problem comes up. There are certain rules on roleplaying however. Make your posts defined and at least somewhat long.

Example of a BAD post: Bob said, "Hi"
Example of a GOOD post: Bob went to Alyssa and smiles, hoping she wouldn't immediately deject him. He had had a crush on her for many years and every time he tried to talk to her he chickened out. "Hi..." he stutters.
