Koran's Trials

"I hope she never does. As long as we're together, everything will be perfect." Koga whispered, holding Time close to him.

Koran obeyed and took the seat, his hand gently taking Thyme's again. "I never want to leave you, Thyme. You're the reason my heart beats." he said, looking at her with kind eyes, drinking in the sight of her.

Time stays close to him, closing her eyes in happiness and content.

Thyme looks at him, a tear running down her cheek. "I'm afraid... that you're just saying that because of *what* I am, because of my position. Not because of *who* I am," she admits, voice breaking. She gently touches the chair, eyes dancing over it lovingly, "I had this chair made and kept empty for the one I knew I would find that I wanted to become my king," she murmurs, "And now I'm afraid the one I found after so long doesn't want me. I know I said I would give you your time and I will. I just wanted you to know,"

"Thyme. I want to be with you because i want to, not just because you're a queen again. Who you are is all that matters in matters of the heart and i want the you that i saw when i visited the Cursed City. I want to be with the laughing, smiling, happy you, the you who i actually care about now." Koran said, his eyes meeting hers and plunging straight into them as he honestly told her how he felt.

Thyme looks back into his eyes, her own watering as tears fell. She then smiles, "Thank you. Koran. I'd enjoy being the laughing and loving Thyme again," she says and laughs a bit, her chest feeling like it was going to burst from happiness.

Koran reached out and placed his arms around Thyme, holding her gently. Eventually, he felt something stir inside his heart. He knew he was honest to goodness, head over heels crazy in love with her, even though they'd only met, like, a day before but that didn't matter since they could see into each others' memories at pretty much any time and know anything they wanted to about the other. Suddenly, he said "Thyme, i know this is a bit soon and all but........i want to 'be' with you and finish binding our souls together. I want to be one with you in every way."

Thyme looks at him with stunned eyes and then kisses him on the lips, "Yes, Koran. I want to too." she says and laughs joyously, kissing him again. Her laughter rings through the chamber and out into the sky as if the world is happy.

When Koga heard Tyme's laugh ringing through the air, he looked up, still holding Time in his arms. "Now you're going the right way, boy." he muttered, smiling slightly.

Koran kissed Thyme in return, putting all his positive emotion in it.

Thyme kisses him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. After a moment she pulls away, panting and blushing. "I have no experience with this... I just wanted you to know," she murmurs.

At least, we're one.........." Koran breathed, laying back with her and spooning.

Thyme smiles, "Yes... we are one now aren't we? In every way," she says and then looks up at him. "Will you sit in the seat next to mine from now on Koran?"

"Obviously, my Thyme. I'll be with you forever and ever." Koran said, meeting eyes with her and being perfectly honest.

Thyme's smile is radiant and she cuddles close to him, "Good. Cause I've waited a long time for you,"

"Then i must've been born just for you." Koran said, chuckling as he made a mental connection. He thought that perhaps, just perhaps, Koga had been steering him in his own remote way but banished the thought.

Thyme smiles, "Perhaps you were, funny how when I was the supreme goddess before, I couldn't find a man to love me for who I am. And now... when I had almost no powers, the man descended from those who imprisoned me is my one and only true love. And I wouldn't have it any other way."

"And neither would i. As long as i'm with you, i'm happy. Being king never mattered and all the girls i met only wanted me because i was prince and the god of dreams but you matter more than anything." Koran said, enjoying the thought. "Although you probably already know this."

"It's nice to hear it," Thyme chuckles and then becomes half serious. "So... how did the... trials go. I know I made them difficult and I'm sorry.

"I got through them pretty easily but barely. When dealing with the the Fire Denizens, i had to lay with one of their women to get the information but i mentioned that before. Also, Mal was a pretty nice fellow. I got through since i was confused about how i felt but now it's all too clear." Koran said, the memories still fresh.

Thyme chuckles and looks amazed when he says Mal was 'a pretty nice fellow'. "So how about the cursed city? How did that go?"

"Well, full of memories. I got this thing, though." Koran said as he make the diamond appear in his hand. "It stuck me in a vivid memory, allowing me to see a day that happened before you were sealed."

Thyme raises her eyebrow, seeming surprised. "Really? Which one?" she asks, really seeming surprised.

"Well, you were in a temple there, enjoying your time with everyone, when you mistook me for Turnin. I acted as inconspicuous as i could but that dead theif god took me aside, telling me something about not deviating from the plan. Good thing he's dealt with since we could do with one less theif." Koran said, rolling his eyes slightly.

Thyme smiles but looks confused, "I remember that time. It surprised me that Turnin was the leader of the 'rebellion'," she says, "And it's odd that you saw that memory. The crystal is supposed to show us the things we need to know most, something important to our future and out pasts."

"I think it's already obvious. I've begun to redeem my family name by undoing my forefather's mistake and fell head over heels in love with you in the process. For all i know without reading your memories, he might've loved you too." Koran said, sighing slightly as the diamond disappeared again.

Thyme frowns, "Turnin? I highly doubt that. He was a stubborn man and he already had a woman he loved very dearly... unfortuneatly... she felt what he was doing was wrong and killed herself. That's truly how Valhanna was made. Valhanna has the soul of that poor woman... but Turnin was never the same. In fact that's how the myth that I was evil got started."

"I don't believe it, love. You're many things but evil isn't one of them." Koran stated, believing that absolutely. "But, just out of curiousity, would that make Valhanna my grandmother or something?"

"In a way. It's complicated. When Turnin's wife thought he was doing something wrong she didn't want to be there anyway. So she separated her body from her soul using a knife. This was the first death at the time. And being the first death her soul became the center of power for death. Valhanna has all of the woman's memories, her love of Turnin along with her desperate wish that Turnin hadn't done what he did. But she is also her own person with her own thoughts. And her body is very different. So while there is a spiritual tie, there is no blood tie."

"Still, it seems like that to me." Koran said, shrugging slightly. It wasn't the first time that there were complex relationships in the deity families.

Thyme smiles, "You can speak with Valhanna if you wish. Maybe see what you can learn about your family?" she asks, just wanting him to be happy.

"Maybe later. I'm too good here with you, my love." Koran said, kissing THyme on the cheek.

Thyme smiles, "Then I'm happy as well," she murmurs.

((Switching over to another charry set for the moment.))

Koga looked down from the top of the mighty tree, seeing that people were gathering underneath it. "Never underestimate the wolf-song. It can call anyone from pretty much anywhere and communicate with them, if they understand." He stood up fully, having been sitting on a branch, and leaped down, his scythes landing before he did with their blades in the ground. He landed on the scythes, feet on the shafts and balancing him easily. The gathering of people began whispering amongst each other, faces full of glee.

Time watches from where they were, unsure of whether she should follow him or stay where she is. But she was sure he would call her if he wanted her. So for the moment she just watched, smiling.

Koga stepped to the ground, his weapons disappearing as he advanced into the middle of the crowd, ignoring the not-so-subtle passes at him and the praises in his honor. Once in position, he turned and addressed them all with a booming voice. "My people! Today is a truly joyous day! Not long ago, my god-son Koran underwent the trials and, at great personal risk to himself, has freed our beloved creator! At their command, jubilation will reign and joy will spread across the world!" The news shocked the people but, since it was their god speaking and appearing to be truly happy about it, they decided to follow as they always had and began cheering, their voices eventually joining together in a great howl.

Time smiles, looking down at her love affectionately. She knew he was a good man but he just proving it over and over, making her love him even more if that was possible.

"As it is commanded, thus it is so! Amen!" Koga roared as he rose up into the sky as pitch black energy surrounded his body, changing him into a pheonix with starry eyes. His followers began dividing up into small groups or pairs and, well, let's just say things got fun in a way that allowed joy to spread. Koga alighted on the tree beside Time and changed back into his normal shape, taking her into his arms.

Time smiles and wraps her arms around Koga, looking into his eyes. She doesn't say anything, just letting him feel how much she loves him.

Koga couldn't help but smile as he felt Time's love rolling off her. He loved her, craved her, needed her, and he liked it like that. At this point, being a solitary wolf didn't appeal to him but it honestly never really did. He'd just acted that way out of consideration for everyone else.

Time smiles, feeling his own love for her. "My wolfish Koga," she says, chuckling. She liked his howls, they made her shiver.

Koga smiled brightly as he kissed Time and hled her closer to him. "My eternal love."

Time chuckles and lays her head on his chest, hands on his hips. "Your followers really seem to love you," she murmurs, still smiling.

"I do what i can. Plus, what with the constant offerings, i do have to make them feel good in return. Not by sleeping with them but, well, i think you can understand." Koga chuckled, not sure how else to put it.

Time chuckles, "You sleep with any of them and they'll be dead," she says, only half teasing, "But I trust you won't."

"Silly Time. You should know that you're the only one i want to sleep with, being as i love you." Koga said, finding the half-teasing amusing but also being serious.

Time smiles and bats her lashes at him playfully before laughing, "I know Koga. And I love you as well. And I would never wish it any other way,"
