Geilinor, Provence of Peace

"No Azrael. Please don't leave me now. I need you." Zaria said whimpering lightly. She snuggled closer to him and wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close trying to keep him from running away. "You can worry about her later. Besides I have a better way to deal with her. I say we lock her in the closet while we have another marathon. She most likely wanted you so she tried to get me out of the way."

Azrael looks down at her, trying to judge how much she really needed him. Finally his arms tightened and he strode off to their rooms, laying her gently on the bed and checking her over for wounds. His beast flickers over him even as he frowns. "You are unhurt,"

"I was trying to tell you that before she want all wolfy on me. It would seem that I'm not like other vampires. I think I'm a daywalker. The sun didn't even give me a tan. I had no idea. To think that for years I could have walked in the sun makes me rather mad." Zaria said with a light frown. She then gave him a bright smile. "Now get over here and let me comfort you."

Azrael shakes his head and paces at one end of the room. "They shouldn't dare hurt you. Anyone who touches my mate is going to die." he says, finishing it with a growl and a punch to the wall.

"Oh you are very sweet to worry about me but you don't have to. I would never leaveyou aloe now that I've found you. You may come to find that I am rather stuborn." Zaria said with a light smile. She stood from the bed and walked over to him. She gently placed her hand on his arm. "Please calm down my love. Let me comfort you and your anger will soon fade. I know I'm a little crazy and mea sometimes but I don't want you going around killing people just because they hurt me. A lot of people do that. I must have urked off a higher power because it seems that someone or something is all ways out to get me. But I would rather have you worry about me and stay and love me instead of rushing off to deal with one of many. They are not as important as you make it seem."

Azrael pulls her close to his chest and buries his face in her hair, breathing deeply. His voice breaks when he speaks, "I thought you were dead... if you died," he shudders at that sound and a dog like whine bursts from his lips, "I can't lose you."

Zaria's expression was tender as she gently stroked his hair. "I won't leave you if I ever have a say in it. I am rather impossible to get rid of. People have tried almost every way possible to get rid of me and non of it works. As a vampire I heal and usually kill them. You are not going to get rid of me that easily." She said giving him a light squeez.

Azrael continues to hold her for a while, finally seeming to calm down and relax. "You ken that I'd do anything to make you happy," he says, looking her straight in the eyes with a serious expression he asks her solemnly, "You ken that, right?"

Zaria gave him a smile. "Of course I know that, love. I would do anything to make you happy as well. I love you and you mean the world to me. It's been so long since I have felt love of any kind so I'm glad you love me as well. Now would you like to back into bed with me? I would be perfectly content to just lay and be with you my handsome werewolf." She said running her fingers through his hair.

Azrael grins, "I'm not sure we'd just be laying," he says but carries her to the bed and lays down next to her, still holding her in his arms and seeming reluctant to let go even for a moment.

"Well if you want to do more than laying then feel free to." Zaria said giving a light smile. She placed a gentle kiss to his lips. She snuggled closer to him and wrapped her arms around him. She gently ran her fingers through his hair. "So what are the war braids for, love? Are you at war with someone?"

Azrael chuckles, "Well besides *most* vampires, not really. They're more like... warrior braids. They show my accomplishments in battles and against opponents."

Zaria gently stroked the brainds with her fingers. "I've never been much for war although I am sure I'm as much like a warrior as I can get. That might be why we fit together so well." She said gently pressing herself against as if to emphasise her point although it was different than what she had ment. "So how do you and the cat demon know each other?"

Azrael frowns. "Well we met a long time ago during a battle against vampires. Then our races and clans and a few others joined together as a league to destroy the vampires. We both got caught in one battle, which was when I was tortured, and when for some reason he got the curse that allowed your clan to control him. For that reason he was branded a traitor."

Zaria frowned lightly. "How did all this happen with out me noticing? I guess they were really good at keeping impoortant things from me. I wish I had know then perhaps we would have gotten off on a better foot. And you seem to really hate vampires. Are you sure you won't some day wish to destroy me as well? I am still a vampire after all." She said softly.

Azrael looks shocked and shakes his head violently, "Of course not! I only kill *evil* vampires. Your not evil at all!" he says, sounding very sure of this.

"As I recal you thought I was evil when you kidnaped me. You tried to blame me for torturing you." Zaria said puncturing her words with a poke to his chest. "But as long as you don't wish to destroy me it's fine. After all I was born a pixie."

Azrael's mouth gapes open, "I thought you were evil because I thought you had tortured me!" he sputters. "What else was I supposed to think?"

"How am I supoused to know what goes on in that head of yours? You didn't even bother to ask me you just assumed. Blaming me for ever thing is not going to just solve all of your problems. Or did you just need someone to be mad at?" Zaria asked continuing to poke him.

Azrael grabs her hands and growls, not in a mean way but in a frustrated way, "How would *you* feel if you were being tortured in horrific ways and they told you every minute of it that they were so happy their *queen* had *asked* them to do these things to you? That she had specially requested they make it painfully horrible? My vows to myself for revenge were what kept me going at the time, though I threw them away when I got out,"

"Well I would know better than to believe a bunch of cruel evil vampires who tried to take over the world. I mean really you can't be serious. They tortured me too you know they took my innocents from me and they forced me to be there queen and wouldn't let me live. I have been stuck with them for years and they did horrible things to me. Now why in the world would I want to do that to anyone else?" Zaria asked wishing she could be mad at him.

Azrael gets up and begins pacing again, "Your more forgiving than I am. I didn't know what else to *do*!" he says and punches the wall again before setting his forehead against it.

"Who said I was forgiving? Half of them I killed myself claiming that it was in my rights as a queen. The other half I had to pay Ulrich to kidnap Amz and bring her to the hideout so she could kill them. The fact that the cat demon friend of yours was there to help was only a bonus. I do remember telling you that I was evil and crazy." Zaria said with a small shake of her head. She laid back on the bed and watched him.

Azrael continues to shake and starts sweating like crazy as his eyes become haunted. He shakes it off and comes over to the bed to pull her into his arms without a word.

Zaria frowned lightly as she held him close. "What's wrong my love? Did I say something wrong? I didn't mean to make you upset." She said getly stroking his cheek. "I love you and I don't wat to make you feel bad. Please tell me what's wrong." She said softly wanting to make him feel better.

"It's all just so clear in my head. Every moment of it. I never thought the wounds would heal. Many of them didn't. I wanted to hurt you so badly. Emotionally more than physically... that's why I originally tracked you down as my mate. I didn't think you were but I was going to claim you were so I could drag you off and hurt you because I didn't think a vampire would stand for it. But then I saw you once and you *were* my mate and I thought I hated you even more. But I couldn't hate you... and now here we are and I love you but I still haven't forgotten those who did the torturing..."
