Erisnor, Land of Barbarians

Kaori let out a small growl. She launched herself at him and kicked him hard in the groin. "You dirty snake. Get out of my house. I don't ever want to see you again. Go get eaten by something and stay out of my life. Any woman stupid enough to fall for you deserves you. But I won't fall for you so get out." She shoved him toward the door before she opened the door. She then continued to shove him out the door.

Erik turns and kisses her again, for longer this time and without moving away afterwards. His eyes glitter and for a moment they're sad before his grins again and turns, sauntering out the door. "I suppose I should tell you. That's the first time I've ever kissed a woman twice." he murmurs and looks back over his shoulder at her before shifting and disappearing into the woods.

Kaori slamed the door behind him. She felt her face burn and placed her back on the door. She then slid down the door and whiped her arms. She hated him so much. How dare he take from her. Her head slumbed back and her eyes closed. Her breath stopped and she lay still. A broken heart was not a good thing for a broken body. After a while it just left.

~Months later~

Erik stumbles into the forest, badly injured and almost literally torn to shreds. He looks totally different from how he looked before, his hair now a light brown and slightly longer, but his eyes are still that silver color. He collapses in the forest, whimpering from pain and called out a name, "Kaori."

Kaori let otu a groan as she felt a bird pulling her up. She sighed a stood. She let the bird lead her into the forest. She sighed lightly when she noticed the body there. With a light frown she drug him back to her house. She wasn't really careful when she set him down but she went to get health suplies. She then set about patching him up.

Erik opens his eyes and his silver gaze rests on her. "Kaori..." he murmurs, his tone soft. "Kaori..."

"Thank you for noticing." Kaori said with a roll of her eyes. She sighed lightly as she continued to patch him up. She whiped away all the blood and wrapped his wounds in bandages. After a few minutes she was done. "There you go. Now get some rest so you can heal up." Ane get out of my house. She added silently.

"Kaori." Erik murmurs again and touches her cheek gently before falling asleep deeply. He murmurs in his sleep, painful murmurs. Tears streak down his cheeks and he curls up in a protective position.

Kaori gave him a dark look but still laid a blanket on him. She then went to make tea and do things to keep her from dweling on her unhappy feelings toward the man laying in her house. He realy shouldn't have gotten her kindness but she had given it anyway.

A short time later Erik watches up, feeling like he had gotten chewed on and sit up. He sits up slowly and frowns, "Kaori?" he calls and catches sight of her. "Kaori... I..."

"So you're awake." Kaori commented. She gave him a rather unfriendly look. "Drink this." She said handing him the tea. She then turned to go back into the kitchen. She didn't feel like talking to him.

Erik slugs it down and jumps up, following after her. "Kaori... I wanted to apologize... for before." he murmurs, sounding sad. "I..."

"Don't bother. I don't need an appology. Just because you were a jerk to me then I save your butt. There is no need to apologise." Kaori said her tone rather unhappy but not in an angry way. More in a hurt kind of way. She didn't look at him and focased on cleaning up the kitchen after the blood he had left everywhere.

"Kaori... I'm not apologizing because you helped me... I'm apologizing... because I owe you an apology. I'm very sorry for being... well... not kind at all, a bastard, and for... stealing your first kiss."

"And you feel regret about it now, why? You didn't seem like it mattered all that much when you did it. Or after. You laughed at me and my feelings. You didn't care how much you hurt me." Kaori said. She grabbed a book frow the table and angrily threw it at the wall. It hit with a loud fack then fell to the ground.

"Kaori... I know you probably hate me. And that's... more than understandable. And I'm sorry. But don't hurt the books. If you want to hurt me... I give you freedom to do so."

"I don't hurt people you fool. Unlike some people I don't enjoy hurting others. I became a Shaman to make people happy. Only I was placed here where no one lives so I have only the animals to make happy. I doubt you would understand but I refuse to let you make me feel bad." Kaori said with a sigh. She then walked over to where the book had fallen and picked it up. "Oh my poor book. At least it didn't tear or anything." She murmured to herself. She held it close for a moment before she went to return it to her book case.

Erik sighs, drawing his hand down his face, expression miserable. "I know you... may not understand the shifter culture much. Though you showed that you did care. I had told you... that your first kiss, that I stole without your permission, was the sweetest of all the thousands I had stolen. And that's true. Both both. And I also told you... that you were the first woman for me to kiss a second time."

"I'm waiting for it to sound like a good thing." Kaori said with a light roll of her eyes. She sighed lightly as she slid the book onto the shelf. She turned to him and gave him a small look. "Besides steeling and taking with out permission are the same thing. I don't care if your culture says it's all right. You should have asked me first. You are lucky I didn't cut your man bits off. It would serve you right. But then there would be even more blood in my house."

Erik sighs, "My culture doesn't say it's alright but... we judge who our mates are by kisses." he murmurs softly, sounding sad. He looks up at her with those silver eyes. "I'm sorry Kaori..." he murmurs, again softly. He moves closer, slowly, and touches her cheek before moving toward the door, just leaning against it in the end.

"Not every girl you see is going to be your mate. And they are not going to welcome your kisses." Kaori said with a light sigh. "Where do you think you are going. Come back here and sit down. You need to rest and I am not letting you go out there while you're still bandaged up." She walked over to him and pulled him toward the couch. "Now sit your butt down and stay there while I go get you some food."

Erik grabs her gently by the shoulders and makes her face him. "I didn't want to tell you this... until or unless you were ready. But I can't keep it a secret from you. I won't. Not after I hurt you before." he says, voice tortured. "Kaori... You're the first woman I've kissed twice. You're my mate."

"I kind of figured that out. Now sit the hell down and stay there. Quite being so thick. I am trying to help you out and not give you a wack. So the least you can do is do what I say." Kaori said givinghim a look. She then pushed him down on the couch.

Erik sits down and watches her carefully. "And.... how did you... figure that out?" he asks softly and carefully. "And why are you... not freaking out."

Kaori shrugged lightly. "Just from the things you said. It really wasn't that hard. You pretty much said it before just not right out. I know how to look into things you know." She said as she went to the kitchen. She came back a little while later with a plate for him. She handed it to him without throwing it. "Eat up. And why should I freak out? I don't tend to freak out and this is not some big deal to have a fit about."

Erik takes it and touches her hand gently before eating. "So you believe this isn't a bit deal? You and I being mates isn't a big deal?"
