The Desert Provence

"You are welcome. I wish you luck. May love and happiness find you." May said hugging him back. She was glad he would be able to go out with his own body and find soemone to love him. He deserved it.

(His smaller form is about 5 foot 4 inches. Pretty small.)

"I will see you two... some day soon perhaps," Nikran says, shifting to his smaller form and moving out of the temple, silently. Before exiting he turns to the altar and bows, "Thank you, Goddess," he says and then disappears.

(By the way where did May's father take the angel. I need to know lol.)

May bit her lip as she watched him go. She would miss him but she was glad to know that they were all free. She placed a gentle kiss to Mikhail's cheek. "So how about that food?"

(In the underworld I believe. He is torturing him I think.)

Mikhail grins. "Sounds good. But first..." he says and swoops her up into his arms, carrying her off. "I feel I need to prove I'm better for you than Nikran would be," he says, still smiling.

Nikran slips out of the temple and looks back, feeling a sadness deep inside to say goodbye. Not only to May but also to Mikhail and the sense of 'family' he almost had. He then looks off into the distance, seeing a large palace and beginning to go there.

"Looks like someone is a little worried. I picked you didn't I? What is there to prove?" May asked as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer. She gave his cheek a gentle kiss.

"He's a pretty sexy demon. You might change your mind," he teases happily.

Nikran shows up at the palace and sneaks in.

"Now I'm a little worried. You shouldn't be thinking other men are hot." May said giving him a playful frown. She then gave him a seductive look and gently ra her tongue over his neck. "Weren't we going somewhere?"

"Most definetly," he says and takes her into their bedroom.

May let out a laugh. "Someone is eager."

Orchid bit her lip lightly as she made her way through the palace. It was such a big place she was amazed she could ever find her way. She stopped when she noticed a male sneaking through the palace. "What are you doing?"

Nikran sees the well dressed woman and immediatly curses silently. "Silence," he whispers, suddenly behind her. "

Orchid let out a small gasp and aimed a look at him. "I don't think you need to be bossing me around." She said in a low voice.

Nikran growls and claps a hand over her mouth, shifting to his large warlord form. "Quiet," he hisses and looks around, pulling her into an abandoned room. Nikran waves a glowing hand and then releases her mouth, standding back at full height and removing his mask until it sits on top of his head. "Who are you?" he rumbles.

Orchid narrowed her bright ice blue eyes at him. "My name is Orchid Moon and I happen to live here." She said wondering who this man was. "Although if you ask my parents they will deny it. They don't want their reputions ruined by their strange daughter." She said crossing her arms over her chest. She was an interesting looking girl. She had long pale hair that was a strange silver. Her skin was also unnusually pale but not in a sick looking way. She looked as though she had been born from moonlight.

Nikran looks at her and nods, “The name suits you. But what do you mean ‘their strange daughter.’ You can’t be all that strange. Not compared to a demon lord from hell though,” he says and grins wickedly.

“You’d be surprised. My father is all ways yelling at my mother wondering who’s child I am.” Orchid said with a shrug.

Nikran shakes his head, “Certainly a god is the mother of one so beautiful. But that is neither here nor there. Where does your father sleep?” Nikran asks, replacing the flaming mask over his face. The mask is all sharp angles and has a fearsome expression on it and the eye slits really accent his red eyes.

“I doubt I am the daughter of a god. Now why in the world do you want to know where my father sleeps?” Orchid asked raising an eyebrow at him.

Nikran chuckles, “Why else? To kill him of course. No. I wish to leave him a message and a memory. Then I wish to have some money. No harm will come to your father. Nor you.”

“I can show you but I’m not sure if I’m worried about you hurting anyone.” Orchid said before turning and showing him the way.

Nikran follows and when they reach the door he stops her. He turns her around and watches her for a few moments with red eyes. “Goodbye for now, Trianu, but I shall take a parting kiss.” He rumbles and lifts his mask off briefly to quick move forward and kiss her breath away before disappearing.

Orchid let out a small sound of surprise and stood there blinking stupidly. She then blushed and made her way back to her room to try for sleep.

Nikran slips into the room and smiles evily down at Orchid’s father. Lucky for him he wasn’t the true king or else his daughter would be in more trouble. Nikran picks him up by the shirt, jerking him awake. “Remember this. Treat your daughter well or I’ll kill you. Now where is the money?”

Orchid bit her lip as she thought of what he would do to her for letting the demon in. She sighed as she crawled in her bed and turned over to go to sleep.

Nikran drops the king back in bed once he’s made sure he won’t touch Orchid and goes to the safe, taking some but not a lot of the money.

Orchid was awoken by a rough hand on her shoulder. She opened her eyes to find that it was her mother dragging her out of bed and down to the great room. The woman wacked her across the face causing her to bleed. “You ungrateful wretch. How dare you bring demons here.” Several minutes later Orchid was in her room shoving things into her bag. Tears stung her eyes as she threw the bag out the window and followed after it. She whipped at her bloody lip before she was off not bothering to look back.

Nikran sneaks into Orchid’s room to check on her and discovers her gone. He tracks the blood trail to a window and the mother. [i]How dare they disobey me[/i]. He comes out of the shadows, stalking straight for the mother, not bothering to hide from her. “You’ll die for this,”

Orchid cursed as she tripped over a rock. She sobbed lightly and didn’t bother to get up. She was tired of fighting for no reason.

Nikran tracks down Orchid and picks her up silently in his arms. Only one small spot of blood was on his now uncovered face.

Orchid let out another sob as he picked her up. She cried lightly into his chest. “When did you get here?”

Nikran looks forward and clenches his jaw, “Too late to save you unnecessary pain apparently. But they’ll no longer bother you.” He says.
M
“I don’t care anymore. I’m tired of not being loved in my own home. I would rather live under a rock.” Orchid said wiping her eyes.

Nikran’s lip twitches, “I can arrange that lass. First I have to buy one. But don’t worry. You have no need to ever go back there,” he says, gently taking off and gliding them through the air.

“I was using a figure of speech. I don’t want to live under a rock but I have no idea where I’m going to live now.” Orchid said with a groan.

Nikran looks around, “Well if you wish I could leave you with two friends of mine or… you could live with me,” he says, flapping his great black wings before gliding. If you look closer they aren’t completely black but look like a starry night sky.

“Hm live with strange men I don’t know or one who I barely now. I think I’d rather live with you strange guy,” Orchid said with a light nod.

Nikran smiles, “I can’t promise much yet but I’ll get you a nice home soon.”
M
Orchid smiled at him. “Thank you for taking care of me. Speaking of which why are you?”

Nikran smiles, “I may be a demon but a friend of mine taught me to at least be a somewhat nice one. Though don’t doubt I’ll kill people.”
M
“Oh the big bad demon is scary. Who would have thought? He steals young women and takes them off to who know where and does who knows what to them?” Orchid said almost sarcastically.

Nikran smiles, “I’ve met angels much worse than me. Plus I’m not kidnapping you. Your idiot parents gave you up,”
M
“They are idiots. And no one ever said angels were the good of the world.” Orchid said snuggling into his chest.

Nikran grins, “They *were* idiots.” He says and lands gently. They’re at a small inn at the nearby town.
M
Orchid sighed and gently leaned against his side. “So you don’t have a home either?”

Nikran shakes his head, “No. I was only recently born truthfully.”

Orchid frowned lightly. “I am afraid I don’t understand.” She said confused.

Nikran smiles. “It’s… complicated and long to tell the truth. But perhaps I’ll tell you someday soon if you wish,” he says and grips the necklace May had given him while carrying Orchid to the room.

Orchid looked at the amulet around his neck. “Hey that’s a good luck charm. It’s supposed to help you find true love and all that.” She said softly.

Nikran looks at her with a surprised expression. “Yes. It is. It was a gift from a friend of mine. You would like her I think…”

"She must care for you and want you to be happy." Orchid said with a small smile. "Perhaps I would like her she sounds interesting." She said nodding lightly.

Nikran laughs. "She is extremely interesting. For a while I fancied myself in love with her. But she was in love with my 'brother'. But I think I've figured out I didn't really love her... at least not in that way."

"You can love people like siblings or friends. It is possible besides it is hard to love someone who can never love you back." Orchid said. She gently poked his nose. "Are we going to check in or what?" She asked raising an eye brow at him.

Nikran shakes his head and shifts to his smaller form, his hair turning black with red stripes and growing longer. His hands turn to claws instead of his feet and legs and armor grows over one arm. He walks up to the inn keeper and politely asks for a room and pays for it, immediately getting it.

Orchid followed after him lightly holding the back of his top. She didn't want to be lost or better yet have some creepy guy try to feel her up. Staying close to her new demon friend should do the trick. "So what is it called when you shift forms like that?" She asked.

Nikran frowns at her, "Shifting... or I guess in my language it would be transkun. But it's nothing much special," he says and moves her ahead of him, his claws not scratching her but oddly soft and smooth feeling as he moves her into the room and closes the door, guarding it with magic.

"I can't do it so it soundes pretty special to me." Orchis said with a small shrug. She inspected the bed for a moment. She sighed lightly as she inspected the rather dingy covers. She held her hand out and a light speared seaping over the bed for a moment cleaning it. She smiled lightly and flopped onto the bed. "So are we sharing this thing or what?"

"Your decision. Your bed." Nikran says, not even raising an eyebrow at her ability. He pulls out a pouch full of money and hands it to her, "Your share... well technically your money in the first place. But for as long as you travel with my I will give you a share of the money."

"That is good to know. And are you trying to insult my hospitality by not taking up my offer. If you don't want to share the bed then be that way." Orchid said with a small shrug. She gently ran her hands over the bed. "Come on it's soft."

Nikran moves toward the bed but looks distinctly uncomfortable, slowly laying down but still very stiffen and making sure to keep a distance between them. "Well I guess we should... rest for the night," he says.

"How do you sleep when you're not relaxed? Am I making you uncomfortable? I don't mean to. I tend to not regard personal space and I'm not used to people." Orchid said moving away from him slightly.
