Ruba, Island of Happiness

Dane opens his eyes again, their depths murky. Not only does he seem a little drunk still but he's half asleep and he smiles at her, opening his arms. "So beautiful... never thought I'd find such a beautiful woman..." he murmurs, the alcohol making his tongue loose. "I saw so many women... more physically beautiful than even you but none of them were beautiful like you. Beautiful on the inside."

"I feel really flattered. And I am not a beautiful person. I really am ugly on the inside. Now go back to sleep you're still drunk." Vira said giving him a poke. She was so happy that he thought other women were so much more beautiful than her...not.

Dane gives her a hard look but then can't help but smile. "Your so tense and cranky. It's endearing. Of course your a beautiful person. And none of the other women compare to you. I knew it when I saw you." he says and keeps his arms open. "I'll do the right thing this time. May I hold you?"

"I am not cranky." Vira said giving him a look. "Besides the first time you saw me you just wanted me to help you get away from those vultures. I supouse you may hold me. Just don't get too touchy feely or I will be forced to hit you."

Dane pulls her into his arms but holds her appropriately and gently. "I knew you would intimidate the other women. Your beautiful enough to scare them away. And I'm sorry for what happened to you."

"Oh being sorry doesn't change anything and I don't need your simpathy. Besides when I met you I looked more like a drowned swere rat or soemthing. I doubt from afar I looked slightly beautiful." Vira said with a light shrug. She rather liked the feeling of being in his arms.

Dane chuckles groggily. "Maybe I can't convince you but I'll try. After I'm completely sober." he says, already amazingly sober. Then then tucks her close and falls asleep.

"What a charmer you turned out to be." Vira muttered. She gently stroked his hair as she watched him.

(Time skip to morning!)

Dane yawns and stretches slightly but feels another body next to him. He frowns, trying to remember last night. He opens his eyes and looks over. "Vira?" he asks, startled.

Vira let out a groan and put her hand on his face. Shee pushed lightly as if it could quiet him. "Silence you. I am trying to sleep over here." She said looking up to give him a small scowle. Why couldn't he be polite and let her sleep?

Dane closes his mouth and looks at her, a glitter entering his eyes, he pulls her close to his chest and then smiles, closing his eyes, obviously trying to let her sleep.

Vira curled up lightly against him and snuggled closer to him. "Now I'm awake but I don't know if I want to move from this position." She said softly. Her small hand came up to gently stroke his arm.

Dane smiles at her, opening his eyes to watch her silently. The muscles in his arm twitch occasionally at her touch and her fingers leave a trail of heat behind them.

"So are you not drunk any more?" Vira asked as she looked at him with wide eyes. She looked a little childish and small. She actually wasn't a tall woman. She just had a personality that made her seem so. She was actually quite small and delicate.

Dane chuckles and shakes his head, still just watching her. She was so beautiful to him. He hadn't been lying to her when he said he thought she was beautiful even when she was rain spattered and caked in dirt.

Vira watched him for a womant as she continued to gently stroke his arm. "So did you mean all of those things you said last night? Or were you just drunk and had a loose tongue?" She asked raising an eye brow at him.

Dane chuckles and finally speaks softly. "I admit. I was seriously drunk and had quite a loose tongue. but that loose tongue just made me says things that I usually wouldn't have said out loud. But they are my true thoughts."

"Do you drink often? If you insist on being around I am going to have to cut you off. You were very loopy and a little cuddly. And you kept saying I was cranky. I am not cranky." Vira said gently pinching his cheeks. She couldn't see herself as cranky.

Dane chuckles, "No. I've never drunk before last night. And you can be cranky. Your a cranky, glorious, angel."

"I am not cranky. And I am far from an angel. I am a sin." Vira said with a light frown. "I am sorry I made you drink."

Dane smiles, "You didn't make me drink. I chose to. And certainly your sinfully beautiful. But your an angel. So beautiful." he says, not understanding.

Vira frowned lightly at him. "No I mean I realy am a sin. My six siblings and I were born to be the seven deadly sins. I am vanity." She said hoping he wouldn't react badly.

Dane raises his eyebrows at her, emotions flickering through his eyes. First confusion, then betrayal, then rage, then... strangely enough... lust. Finally a humorous light enters his eyes. "I suppose that's not so bad. You do have a lot to be vain about."

"No I don't. Are you sure you're not mad at me? I know I am not normal and many people don't like me." Vira said with a light frown.

Dane closes his eyes and sighs, "I suppose I am a bit mad. But only because you didn't tell me sooner. But then why should you have? You didn't know me. You still don't. And no one is normal."

"It's not something I say when I meet people. I haven't told anyone really and I am not sure how you should react. I am just like anyone else and I wish to be treated as such. If you try to be mean to me I will remove your manhood." Vira said giving him a look.
